WHY DO PILATES?
Originally created by Joseph Pilates (1883-1967), Pilates is a mind and body exercise programme that builds long, lean muscles, balance, strength and flexibility. Practiced regularly, Pilates can improve posture, muscle tone, balance and joint mobility, as well as relieve stress and tension. Pilates is fully adaptable to each body and is therefore suitable for all, from elite athletes to complete novices.
WHY DO PILATES WITH SARAH?
Years of meditation and mindfulness practice and teaching, as well as studies in neuroscience, physiology and biomechanics all greatly inform my movement teaching, as does a desire to help people deeply connect with their bodies.
I call my style of teaching Somatic-Awareness Pilates. This combines the benefits of Pilates and mindfulness, working both with the nervous system and musculoskeletal body. It helps to release muscular tension, relieve chronic pain and stress, improve posture, strength, circulation, breathing and movement patterns and aid gastrointestinal problems... it helps to rebalance body and mind.

Designed specifically for your body, your needs and your goals, private Pilates lessons are the perfect option if you're wanting to deepen your understanding and practice of Pilates and gain the most from your practice, for anyone using Pilates to recover from an injury or illness or if you prefer to exercise in the comfort of your own home or place of work.
CORPORATE PILATES CLASSES
Make your exercise routine even easier by bringing a Pilates class to your place of work, specifically designed for the needs of the office worker. Classes can be 60mins or 45mins and can be any blend of Pilates, meditation and TRE®, as designed by you.
